Visit a unique marketplace on a private tour from Bangkok – the Mae Klong railway market is a complete fresh market located on the tracks of a railway. Things get really busy when a train is arriving, this happens eight times a day at 6:20, 8:30, 9:00, 11:10, 11:30, 14:30, 15:30, and 17:40 (1). Vendors start pushing their baskets and tables to the side, some rush to fold their shades. Everyone tries to find a spot to stand clear of the train. Once the train passes through, everything is swiftly put back to its original position. Shades are back to protect shoppers and food from the heat of the sun. Business resumes as normal after those tables and baskets reappear.
